Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownies

Sunday's are normally family days and although we enjoy spending it with our little family, we normally find ourselves around the kitchen table at my Mom and Dad's (Papa and GG) house.  It's a great time to catch up with them and see my sister and her family.  We have a wonderful family, we do a lot together, and we are all thankful for that!  This week, my mom and dad's friends, Jana and Gary came to visit from North Carolina and we all had dinner together which was a special treat.  I made dessert for it and OMG!  That's all I have to say about these babies!  They were SO delicious!!!  What is not to love about brownies and chocolate chip cookies???  The only thing that made them better was a big scoop of vanilla ice cream and a tall glass of cold milk!!  It was the best of both worlds and the greatest part is that they were incredibly easy!!  The only homemade part was the chocolate ganache on top!  I do believe they could be slightly better 100% homemade, so I will try that next time and already have a recipe I'm waiting to try! :)

A definite group gathering hit-the leftovers for sure did not go home with us!!  My nephew has already requested these for his birthday....in AUGUST!

Make cookie mix as directed on pouch, using butter and 1 egg. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls evenly onto brownie batter; press down lightly.
Bake 42 to 47 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out almost clean. Cool on cooling rack 30 minutes. Frost with frosting. For brownies, cut into 7 rows by 6 rows.

Homemade Ganache
